BABEL.
It took me so much time to pick a single film for this, there’s a million films that make me sad. Babel is the only film that has kept me sad and depressed throughout its whole running time and then long after it was done. This is a really depressing film, everything that can go wrong does and then some. The performances are brilliant and heart-breaking, specially Brad Pitt, Cate Blanchett and Adriana Barraza. But the performance by Rinko Kikuchi just fuckin’ killed me… I felt so bad and sad for her, she just wanted to feel loved and cared for. I would’ve totally given her hug! Very, very, very sad film indeed…
