haha it's more of an excuse to watch the more internationally well-known korean flicks than a legitimate marathon :P there are way too many 'good' korean films I haven't seen yet so I thought it'd be fun to do a marathon for them. I tried to do a nice balance of thriller/drama/comedy/drama but it ended up being a park chan wook filmography + couple of other revenge flicks I have yet to see XD;; you should do one too, for sure! I think that'd be really fun.
and I agree, it's so hard to come across people who really have an interest in korean cinema. whenever I bring it up, the response is either "oh that's cool I've never seen a korean movie before" or "oh my god I love korean movies!!! oldboy!!.....yeah" :P

Yeah, my Korean Cinema marathon would also be purely Park Chan-Wook films and other revenge/mystery films. I guess this is a sign that I need to go buy more Korean films from other genres. But yeah, I’m definitely doing a marathon!

As someone whose number one obsession is cinema, I live my life not only surrounded by it but also understanding life itself through films. They are the one thing I am most genuinely passionate about. In here you'll find almost everything related to films, but most notably my reviews on them. Check the link below for a list and reviews of this year's films.
